Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has finally addressed the death threats he has been receiving from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, ahead of his highly anticipated Eid release, Sikandar. At a special press conference held on March 26, the actor opened up about the challenges he faces, including constant security threats, emotional pressure, and moving forward with faith in destiny.
Responding to a question about the threats linked to the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case, Salman Khan said, “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai. Kabhi kabhi itne logon ko saath mein leke chalna padta hai, bas wohi problem ho jaati hai.” (God, Allah—it’s all up to them. I’ll live as long as I’m destined to live. Sometimes moving with so many people around becomes the real problem.)
Salman’s statement comes just months before the release of Sikandar, an action thriller directed by A. R. Murugadoss, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. Despite the threats and security concerns, the actor appears determined to continue his public appearances and professional commitments.
The threats stem from the 1998 incident during the shooting of Hum Saath-Saath Hain, when Salman Khan and co-stars were accused of hunting blackbucks near Jodhpur. The Bishnoi community considers the blackbuck sacred. Since then, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang have repeatedly targeted the actor.
Following the threats, Mumbai Police heightened Salman’s security, and he is now accompanied by armed personnel at all times. Despite this, the actor continues to engage with fans and the media. His family, friends, and countless fans remain vocal in their support, praying for his safety and well-being.
With Sikandar set for a massive theatrical release this Eid, Salman Khan is once again proving his resilience, facing adversity with calm and faith. His response to the death threats not only reflects his inner strength but also resonates with fans who admire his courage under pressure.
