Efforts to Reach Trapped Workers
The trapped workers are located approximately 14 kilometers inside the collapsed tunnel. To ensure their safe retrieval, the rescue teams have adopted multiple strategies, including:
- Cutting Through the Boring Machine: Specialized gas-cutting tools and plasma cutters are being used to break through the tunnel boring machine obstructing access to the trapped men.
- Clearing Debris and Silt: Heavy machinery is in operation to remove mechanical debris, ensuring a safe passage for the rescue teams.
- Support from South Central Railway: The railway department has deployed Brocho cutting machines and additional technical assistance to expedite the process.
No Contact with Trapped Workers Yet
Despite ongoing efforts, rescue teams have not yet established communication with the trapped workers. Experts are monitoring oxygen levels and tunnel stability while ensuring that all possible safety measures are in place.
