Woman Dies, Friend Critically Injured as Car Crashes Into Electric Pole in Gurugram After Late Night Party

In a tragic road accident on April 11, 2025, a 29-year-old woman died and her 24-year-old friend sustained critical injuries after their car crashed into a roadside electric pole on the Faridabad-Gurugram Road around 3:45 AM, police said.
Accident Details
The victims were identified as Manisha Gora, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Delhi, and Kartik Wadhwa, a resident of Faridabad, who was reportedly driving the car. The duo were returning to Faridabad after attending a party at a Gurugram club.
How The Accident Happened
According to the Gurugram Police, the Maruti Baleno car lost control near Paras Quartiers on the Faridabad-Gurugram Road after Wadhwa swerved the vehicle sharply to avoid stray cattle crossing the road. The car then rammed into a roadside electric pole with high impact.

Victims Pulled from Wreckage
Police and locals rushed to the scene immediately after being alerted. Both victims were pulled from the wrecked vehicle and taken to a private hospital in Sushant Lok. Despite the airbags deploying, Manisha Gora suffered severe internal injuries and succumbed during treatment. Kartik Wadhwa remains hospitalized with critical injuries.
Police Investigation Underway
As per Sandeep Kumar, Public Relations Officer of Gurugram Police, an inquiry under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita is underway based on Wadhwa's statement. The autopsy and blood test reports are awaited to ascertain if alcohol consumption was involved.
