Reliance Jio, India's largest telecom operator, has announced a strategic partnership with Elon Musk's SpaceX to introduce Starlink’s satellite internet services in India. This collaboration is expected to revolutionize digital connectivity, particularly in remote areas where traditional broadband infrastructure is lacking.
As part of the agreement, Jio will integrate Starlink into its existing network, making it available to users through multiple channels.
While the partnership is promising, it is subject to multiple regulatory clearances from the Indian government.
Both companies are working to finalize the necessary regulatory requirements. If approved, Starlink’s services under Jio could be launched in India by the end of 2025.
