In a landmark IPL 2025 clash on March 28, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 50 runs at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium. This victory marks RCB's first win in Chennai since 2008, ending a 17-year dry spell at the venue.

Opting to bat first, RCB put up an imposing total of 196/7. Captain Rajat Patidar led from the front, while other batters chipped in to maintain a high scoring rate. CSK’s bowlers failed to contain the flow of runs in the middle and death overs.
Chasing a stiff target, CSK stumbled early as Hazlewood and Mohammed Siraj applied relentless pressure. Despite Ravindra’s resistance, CSK fell short and managed only 146/8, handing RCB a convincing win.
RCB’s win not only lifts them to the top of the points table but also breaks a long-standing psychological barrier at Chepauk. With back-to-back victories, the Bengaluru side is emerging as a strong contender in IPL 2025.
