It captures the smoky, spiced flavor of your favorite restaurant tikka using marinated paneer cubes that are grilled to perfection. No heavy gravies or cream—just clean, bold flavor.
In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, spices, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and mustard oil to create the marinade. Add paneer cubes and gently mix until they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to soak in.
Preheat a grill pan or oven at 200°C (392°F). Arrange marinated paneer cubes on skewers or directly on a lined baking tray. Grill for 15–20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is charred and smoky on the edges. You can also air-fry them at 180°C (356°F) for 10–12 minutes.
Remove the grilled paneer from skewers and serve hot with sliced onions, lemon wedges, and mint chutney. Pair it with roti, paratha, or enjoy as a standalone starter.
